Description
SONAX CutMax is designed to achieve the highest cutting and polishing results without severely damaging the vehicle clear coat. Sanded areas up to P1500 can quickly and safely be removed with excellent finishing gloss effect. SONAX CutMax is water-based which offers a long working window and will not dry out like other compounds. It is also dust free for easy clean up after use. Simply wipe off the polished area with a microfiber towel. Solvent-free and silicone-free makes it safe for use in body shops and collision centers. Recommended use with: Sonax Microfiber Cloths, Hybrid Wool Pad or Red Cutting Pad.

I had some High Spots from ceramic coating in my car and I did some research on what can remove them, and sure enough I found these, my car had a Few high spots of ceramic coating and I don’t have a buffer so I just used a microfiber towel and a rag to remove it and it sure enough went away! This polish compound cuts strong and is great.

A friend asked me to detail a 21 year old GMC pickup he purchased. Somewhere between a daily driver and a work truck it must have spent most of its life outdoors. The only compounds I had on hand where M105, 3D ONE, and Menzerna FG 400. Had to work these compounds too hard and long to get any results. So I ordered CutMax and it did a marvelous job with a FLEX 3401 and various microfiber cutting pads and some wool pads too. I reclaimed the finish on 21 year old weathered paint without damaging the clear coat. My friend was pleased. Highly recommended for extremely neglected paint. I really like it for polishing windshields with the microfiber cutting pads.

I was impressed how quickly this corrected and finished out without drying out too quickly. Paired with a heavy foam pad, it only took a typical set of passes to remove a fair amount of oxidation from a 13yr old southern car with severe swirl marks and deep scratches. Still needed a wool pad for the worst scratches, but overall it finished out very impressively. Polished with 3M perfect it, and sealer with Jescar Ultralock plus. Definitely recommend this.

Ran out of my 3m and had this on the shelf from a friend years ago. Went off roading and got a pinstripe I wasn’t happy with. Did three passes using Sonex w/ a Griots buffer. Couldn’t even tell there was a scratch afterwards. This is a great product f or sure

Product is definitely nice work and does not dust as it dies which is really nice. Must say I notice no difference in the cut when compared to good old Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound. That stuff dusts a bit but does just as good a job and costs about 1/3 as much.I guess if you’re a high level detailer it’s worth it just not for me.
