We recently purchased a 2016 LR4 to use for road trips to and from Az and Ca. We needed a spacious, comfortable SUV that would also accommodate our road bikes via a hitch. Our new LR4 came with the LR tow package and via the ingenious LR040248 Land Rover OEM tow hitch receiver it makes for a REALLY clean and sturdy installation. Best part of the entire design is you can remove the receiver, store it inside one of the interior compartments and keep the beautiful clean OEM lines of the rear of your Rover.

I have 2012 Range Rover sport and it fit perfect!! It was a little hard to get on in beginning. Make sure you have the key turned the correct way to pull the pin all the way back before inserting. Other than that it works GREAT!!!

Did not come with instructions but this hitch worked great. A similar hitch did not quite fit my car however the second adapter that was shipped fit perfectly. The key does not release from the adapter until the adapter engages with your receiver.

From reading some of the comments with the key issue’s you have to make sure you slam it up in the hitch frame don’t just lightly slide it up there. That top plunger pin needs to be pressed all the way in. Then you can remove the key with ease. Once you turn it into the lock position. Very nice came with extra key. Again fit very well.

The key won’t come out, and I’m unable to pull the pin out or off. The item is obviously used. Has scrape marks where the paint should be black. Advertising new product that is used.
