I am a mechanic and love my knipex pliers. Recently started helping a friend on the weekends and some nights farm. He wants me to have pliers on my hip. He even lent me some old slip joint pliers and a leather holster. Guess I am a tool snob because I couldn’t stand the slip joint pliers after using cobras daily. I bought the pouch and went to my toolbox and tried different combos of pliers. Slip joint pliers can grip and cut wire. Cobras out grip any slip joint but can’t cut wire. Linesman pliers grip and cut wire but the jaw opening is limited. With both pockets I am able to carry 1 cobra and 1 linesman. The 150mm or 6 inch pliers just seem too small for me. Tried the 180mm or 7 1/2″ and linesman, cable cutters, cobra, needle nose all fit better. The weight difference between the 6’s and 7 1/2’s was hardly notable. All pliers need to be handle down in the pouch or they will slip out the gap in the bottom. The need to load handle down to me is my only true complaint. I would rather the handle was up so when I grabbed them they are ready in my hand instead of having to turn them. That is the reason for four stars. The red elastic straps are separated from the large black straps on the sides. This was an unknown bonus to me. I now keep a pen flashlight there. I am carrying a 7 1/2″ cobra pump pliers, 7 1/2″ linesman (combination) pliers, and a stealth light pen light and they all stay in place as long as handles are down. The belt clip has a quick attach or you can run your belt behind the plastic clip. I am looping my belt through the clip and pouch as the quick attachment mechanism seems to pop open when I am climbing in to tractor seats.

Want to carry your small Cobra pliers? Then get this pouch. It’s sturdy and well made. It will easily fit your, 5, 6, or 7 inch pliers (2).

Before purchasing this item I was skeptical about it’s originality, but after receiving my pouch for my Knipex pliers I am completely convinced this is an original Knipex item. I use my pouch to carry the 4” (87 00 100), 5” (87 01 125) and the 7” (86 03 180) Knipex pliers and two extra small wrenches on the side but you could use the side for a pen flashlight, and a small multiple tips screwdriver, plus plenty of Velcro to sized any small tool and yes it has two inside pockets. If you have any doubts, don’t, you won’t regret it. Very well built as any other Knipex product. Shipped really fast, will be ordering another one soon! ??????????
