Studio Gouache paints are premium matte paints that are richly pigmented to deliver vivid and intense effects with a perfectly even flat matte wash of color. Our Studio Gouache range contains a true trichromatic black and a balanced primary system that allows you to easily create custom colors and mixed shades with particularly low gray rates. Each of the colors in our Studio Gouache line have been studied so as to minimize the whitening effect when drying, so that you get a consistent wash of color with every single brush stroke. Studio Gouache was developed for students and professionals alike and is ideal for making models, modeling clay, pottery, sculpture studies, decors and illustrations. Studio Gouache conforms to ASTM D-4236.

Studio Gouache Introduction
Studio Gouache offers a range of 22 vivid, intense and bright colours that are available in two different formats: 100ml and 220ml. Studio Gouache is ideal for design work and has been specifically created for illustrators and students but it is also an essential medium for all artists of varying levels.
The Studio Gouache range is highly pigmented, light resistant and offers excellent covering power across different surfaces!
Studio Gouache Formats
Within the Studio Gouache collection, you will find 21 traditional colours which include 2 metallic colours and 5 iridescent Dyna colours. There are 18 colours that come in the 100ml format and 21 colours that are available in the 220ml format.
Studio Gouache colours have a high concentration of pigments, as well as being vivid and matte. They can be used alone or they can be mixed together to create your own style.
The colours in the range include: Lemon Yellow, Primary Yellow, Bright Orange, Vermillion, Cadmium red imitation, Carmine, Primmary magenta, Coobalt violet imitation, Ultramarine blue, Cobalt blue imitation, Primary cyan, Cerulean blue, Light green, Spring green, Emerald green, Yellow ochre, Burnt Sienna, Burnt umber, Ivory black, Trichromatic black, Permanent white and gold.
Studio Gouache Applications
The Studio Gouache model is a fine gouache, specially designed for professionals and students. It is ideal for making models, study works, illustration and decoration. It can be applied to paper, cardboard, Bristol board and many other clean, dry surfaces.
The range contains a trichromatic black and a balanced primary system. The colours dry in perfectly even flat washes, and have been studied so as to minimise whitening when drying. Once dry, the colours are bright, highly pigmented and leave a matt finish which adds to the look of your chosen design.
This water based product is creamy and malleable and remains bright and vivid, even after drying.

Good for the price.Dries matte, blends fine with all of my gouache, from my $5 hobby stuff, to my expensive artist grade stuff.I go through a lot of white gouache, so the price for the size can’t be beat, and it didn’t shift to a weird chalky gray-yellow like the Artist’s Loft brand did after only a few weeks.

This Pebeo studio gouache comes in such a large size that I am able to use it in ways most watercolor and gouache can’t really be used. I paint large abstract paintings with this and the white especially is wonderful to mix with colored gouache or to add pigments. I only wish I could afford every color of this stuff! The only down side is that since it is student grade, some colors do raise up through it somewhat. But that can have its plus side when used intentionally.

Package arrived in time and intact, the quality is very good especially for the Price, after buying the white color, I ended up buying almost all the colors that I need, it is a great value, the only minor issue I have is after using it a couple times, the cover is very hard to close.

I don’t know why Amazon asked for a sheerness rating Oman opaque product…but, here goes: I’ve compared this gouache alongside Windsor-Newton and M. Graham…the only white gouache I’d used until I bought Pebeo. Cant tell the difference! The cost for this tube, 20 times the size of others for less? How can you go wrong? Great value!

We need a lot of white gouache so I bought this big tube. It’s not opaque. Not pigmented enough. Seems watery and thin.
