Description
The Knipex CutiX universal knife is a reliable tool that allows for precise cuts without bending or breaking. Freely adjustable stabilization bar prevents bending or breaking of the blade, while allowing targeted pressure on the back of the blade without risk of injury. Robust, durable magnesium housing: as light as plastic, as strong as die-cast aluminum. Fixed blade due to high-quality blade locking. Compatible with all common 18mm snap-off blade types: smooth, curved and with hooks. Secure compartment inside the handle stores 2 spare blades. The blades can be switched without any tools by just one push of the button. Fits comfortably in the hand due to its slim shape and numerous grip zones (both firm and non slip materials). Features separate flat ergonomic slides for both the blade and stabilization bar, no accidental activation of the slides. Reliable and secure hold of the blade thanks to a hardened steel pin. When the rear end of the handle is closed, the blade slider and blade cannot slip out. Tether attachment point for tool protection with KNIPEX Tethered Tools System. The main thing that sets this apart from the others is the rail the blade sits in. The lower switch on the handle controls the rail so it can be adjusted independently of the blade. This allows you to raise the rail up to give the blade additional support when using it. Even if you usually don’t like using this style of a knife I would recommend trying this product – you may change your mind!

It’s a great cutter! Knipex quality as always! Only hiccup I had was replacement blades even though it came with 2. It takes 18mm snap off blades, fyi. I just bought a 50pack of that size and they work just fine.

Fine knife so far. This version ships with German branded snap-off blades instead of the Japanese blades, but I’m guessing they’re still interchangeable.Knife body clamshell is clipped together at the knife-edge-end (instead of a fastener), and there is already a little bit of play between the two halves. Not enough to effect the function of the knife, but a bit sloppy nonetheless.This is one of those Knipex “German Engineering” stamped tools, which means it is not made in Germany.
