Very good, but be aware that some, like mine already have a leather gaiter that is attached to the knob and attaches to the console – this one does not have a leather gaiter

Following forum recommendations I picked this up for my 2006 BMW z4 as a birthday present to myself. It’s usefully shorter and weightier than the original z4 item giving a much nicer shift feel and is also a better match for my interior than the original. It’s not cheap, but it’s an exceptionally well made item, as you’d expect for OEM. Getting the old one off was a pretty physical exercise – make sure you don’t punch yourself in the face…

As title, the weight really improves the shifter feel. Looks much better than the cheap looking BMW knob, and the shorter throw is also a nice improvement.

Arrived from BMW Parklane dealer so a genuine article..Spot-on M styling and very heavy, so looks and feels great in the hand.Gear Change feel is improved due to weight and as its shorter than a standard Z4 E85 knob (just pulls off with a big tug), so reduced throw for faster changes.Altogether a much more sports orientated look and feel, that suits the car so much better than the standard plasticy chrome knob.
