Shocked that Parker — an iconic pen company with a great history — would put their name in this inferior piece of plastic junk. Yes, the price is very affordable but the quality is poor and the ink flow disastrous. Do not buy this pen. The Parker Jotter is a much better option.

it is priced like a jotter, but then so are many pens. it is designed for quick engagement like a jotter, but so are many pens. its looks* and feel does not remind the user of a jotter, but then so are many pens. essentially, this is not a jotter, it is just a fountain pen. if you like the style of this pen, then buy it. but note that quality control seems lacking, as my white pen came stained with some other color. *the parker jotter’s classic design has a few basic elements, the most crucial are the oblong shape and the single color plastic body that goes into a metal nock-casing. the nock mechanism i can do without since that would price the jotter fountain pen at about ten times its current price, but it is a mistake to have two plastic colors with a metal cap. the single plastic color is part of the attraction to the jotter. and it doesn’t helps that it isn’t shaped like a jotter. what they should have done is flipped the top for the bottom for the fountain p

I ordered the Jotter Originals Ballpoint in red in 9/2020 and I got a real, quality, plastic barrel Jotter made in France. Pretty much the same quality as they have been for decades (I also own older UK- and USA-made versions). Get ’em while you still can. I am very happy with my purchase. I prefer these plastic barrel versions over the metal barrel versions because they somehow just feel and grip better. The metal is too slippery for me.The included Quinkflow refill works well, but if you want to transform this into the best writing pen in the world, put in a Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 refill and prepare to be amazed.

The Jotter is an old standby I had not had for decades. It never, never, skips and has a medium-fine ball point that make cursive much more legible. It is lightweight and the retraction mechanism is crisp. The pocket clip is a snazzy arrow and keeps the pen safe in the pocket.
