I also have a Brooks B17 and was hoping the Swallow would fit the bill on a new road bike build. I’ve ridden a bit over a 100 miles on the new Swallow and I don’t even think about it now. My only complaint is that I didn’t have the wherewith all to get one with Ti rails.

I’m a huge fan of Brooks saddles so when my previous one was lifted I immediately started the search for a new one (and a better way to secure it to my bike!)My previous saddle was the classic B17 standard. A great saddle but I wanted to try something with a bit more of a racing feel. That is definitely what the Swift delivers. The Swift is much thinner than the B17 down the whole seat. It took some getting used to having a smaller and more contoured saddle but no more than any saddle transition. The deeper cut-ins for the legs are wonderful and give me a greater range of comfortable motion when peddling hard.

Legendary quality. Not for people with soft butts.Lets everyone know that your bike is better than theirs.

Beautiful seat!! I’ve had it about 3 weeks now and I’m pretty sure it is already broken in. Get the Proofide and follow their recommendations, your butt will love it!!— 2000 miles in and I cannot believe I ever suffered through riding any other saddle — this is the one!!! Extremely comfortable, looks better than great. What a seat!!

After trying out quite a few saddles including other Brooks saddles this one is the best in comfort and durability. Over 1500 miles and no complaints it’s almost like nothing is there. Great right out of the box and no break in period for me and after 500 miles it just seemed to get even more comfy. All around premium saddle.

I must say that this is my first Brooks saddle. It was a warehouse deal that came in “Used – Like New” condition. I must say that other than the original packaging being a little roughed-up (but complete) this item seemed and felt as if it was brand new. It’s really beautiful with its tan leather and copper rivets. I terms of comfort well in its brand new condition the leather is really hard and rigid, pretty much like sitting on a bare plastic shell. Despite this I must say that the overall shape is really comfortable and that once the saddle it set to the right position you simply fall into place within the saddle. I must say that the rails on this saddle are quite short and that if you are planning on buying it keep in mind that you will need a seat post with generous setback. Ideally you also want a seatpost that’s micro-adjustable because different to other saddle the right position is simply aligning the saddle parallel to the ground, but rather finding the right position where you neither slide forward nor you slide backwards. In my case that meant tilting the nose slightly upward. This tinkering and finding the “sweet spot” angle really makes an impact on the overall comfort you can achieve. In terms of riding I have used it now for a couple hundred kilometers and it has begun slightly to “give-in” and become more compliant. I really love this saddle and would recommend it to anyone who has admiration for cycling heritage, doesn’t minds the extra-weight and seeks something different than the modern offering of saddles.

OK, awesome quality and looks like modern bike art.Did not like the constant sliding forward if the saddle was set level. Also my sit bones are 110mm and were just a bit too close the saddle frame when seated.Totally my bad, as I should have done more research.Returned due to not good fit for me.

I bought this saddle for my boyfriend as an early Christmas gift. He has always wanted a Brooks saddle. He loves it. It’s still in the process of being broken in but he hasn’t complained about it being uncomfortable.
