Selle Royal’s Dedicated Trekking Line

The Lookin Line combines a refreshed design in addition to the visible Royalgel. These saddles are sealed with Royal Vacuum Light Technology, making them water resistant and are equipped with Cool Cover technology which lowers the surface temperature of the saddle by up to 25°(C) as compared to normal black saddles. Along with Royalgel, the Lookin line is constructed with a foam matrix open cell structure that increases elasticity and breathability. The Integrated Clip System makes attaching accessories quick and easy. The Lookin Saddles are dedicated to trekking use due to their lighter weight and accompanying features.

The Lookin Viper

The Lookin Viper is an attractively streamlined sports saddle, built with high performance functionality in mind. Its sealed surface is partially transparent, allowing riders to observe how the Royalgel padding flexes and reacts, ensuring the reduction of pressure peaks by up to 40%. Built-in scuff guards at the nose and sides are added to increase saddle longevity. The Athletic version is shaped to offer riders excellent weight distribution when seated in the Athletic riding position.

The Lookin Athletic

This Unisex saddle is built for use by cyclists who ride in the Athletic position. Its sealed surface is partially transparent, allowing riders to observe how the Royalgel padding flexes and reacts, ensuring the reduction of pressure peaks by up to 40%. The silver scuff guards add a unique look, and help prevent accidental scratches or tearing, increasing saddle longevity.

The Lookin Moderate

The Selle Royal Lookin Moderate saddle for Men is remarkable for its wealth of cyclist friendly design elements. Its sealed surface is partially transparent, allowing riders to observe how the Royalgel padding flexes and reacts, ensuring the reduction of pressure peaks by up to 40%. This model is shaped to offer the comfort of optimum weight distribution for commuters or leisure riders seated in the Moderate riding position. This model is also available for women, featuring a slightly shorter design.

My 48yr old wife is a long time cyclist, a long distance bike tourist, a daily bicycle commuter, but for some reason she recently started complaining that her old Avocet men’s gel touring saddle on her commuter bike was just too damn hard for her. I got her a less-hard saddle, a Bontrager SSR Women’s Saddle, but she said that was too hard too. I got her a Terry Men’s Liberator Gel (clearance sale at a local shop), and she said she missed the Bontrager’s women-specific shape and said the Terry was too hard for her as well. Frustrated, I bought her this super squish thing and she says “it’s a little too wide through the nose, but its squishiness is good.” Now, “for touring” she wants me to get her the version similar to this with a cut-out (Selle Royal Women’s Ellipse Moderate Saddle). We’ll have to see what she thinks of that one…

I liked everything about this seat or for you puriests “saddle”, it looks good, its light, it has the ICS (integrated clip system) to cleanly mount your rear light, and its pretty comfortable once you get it adjusted to fit you correctly. Just bring a hex wrench with you on your first few rides with it and move it around a bit, I found the way its designed that the best position was a bit nose down because the rear of the seat raises up, so in that position it keeps your butt planted in place. The reason I didnt give it 5 Stars is that the seat doesn’t have the “relief channel” that most men prefer, and after a few hundred miles, I was noticing some discomfort in that area. So I ended up buying the Selle Royal Reperio and so far so good.

I bought the men’s moderate seat the same time I bought this one for my wife. She didn’t like this seat and so we switched; I put this seat on my bike and put the men’s moderate version on her bike. My wife and I both agree that the men’s moderate saddle is much much better. This seat is passable for the first 7-8 miles and then just hurts. It seems to push you forward, making it way too difficult to stay up on the sit points. The result is that you get pinched in vulnerable places. I think we’ll put this seat on our stationary bike, where I think it will be just fine, and use other Selle Royal seats on our bicycles.

For a recreational seat to enjoy the ride without incurring the wrath of bum burn- this was just what I needed. The seat doesn’t look out of place on a high end mountain bike but offers comfort like a much larger design. I had intended to only have this on my spare bike for a girlfriend but decided to use it on my Trek Fuel as well. I’m 5-10, 240# and love this seat.

I wanted a bike seat that was not a comfort seat but still was comfortable if you can understand that. I just wanted the seat not to be wide like a comfort seat, but still look generally like a road bike seat. I had read many good reviews about the men’s moderate bicycle seat, and decided to try it. Mind you, I didn’t have very good expectations, because this will be about the 7th bicycle seat I have tried! However, I was surprised when I first installed the seat, seeing how soft it was yet rigid looking, so naturally, I couldn’t wait until I got to try it! The next day, I did just that, and was very happy at the result! I live in very mountainous terrain and have many bumpy roads around where I live, so I decided to take a long ride with this saddle in order to give it a proper ‘breaking in’ period. This is the only saddle I have ever had that I almost felt like it wasn’t even there! It was that comfortable! I used to review everything, but now I only review th

I’ve tried too many bike seats (gel & memory foam), and countless seat coverts… but never found anything that was comfortable for long rides (50-100 miles). I ride a road bike, but I needed to find something that had a bit wider saddle without being too wide. I figured that this one was worth a shot… I know the cycling purists will not like this saddle on a road bike, but it’s my body, and I’m tired of riding in pain that it just made me to not want to ride. The price was very attractive, and with free returns I figured this was a safe option to by. The seat is roughly 1″ wider than the Terry Bicycles (LIBERATOR X ELITE ) which I purchased last year — which I liked, but this year I could not ride over 20 miles without tons of pain. I completed 30 miles today, and it was comfy the whole ride. I could’ve done a longer ride — but I was hungry (LOL). Highly recommend this saddle

First, this isn’t a “comfortable” saddle. It’s rather hard, but I understand that’s a matter of taste and opinion and will differ from person to person. Then just after the saddle hit the 3 month mark, as I got off, I barely scratched it with my shoe and ripped big tear into the saddle. The material used is clearly not up to standards. I doubt this is accidental. Anyone knows that the top of a saddle needs to withstand some form of wear and tear.If I had ridden the bike once a week, the saddle would have lasted maybe a year or two, three. But I happen to ride it every day, so it failed in just over three months. This product is very obviously made to fail. I’m going to stay clear of this overpriced brand that under delivers.

This is the one! Was having difficulty this year pressing above 20 mile rides. Not anymore. Saddle is comfortable and supportive. Loving the royal gel for my royal @$$!??? Worth every penny.

Absolutely love the bike seat, the reseller is impossible. Selle Royal has a 2 year warranty on it. Bike seat started falling apart after just 3 months. Contacted the manufacturer who told me to contact the seller. Seller would write promising to get back to me and never getting back to me. When I’d write again, seller would ask me to do the work to find who they should call at the manufacture and such so they could take care of the issue. (Like its my responsibility) I would get such information to them and they again would promise to contact me and I would never hear from them. After a month of this frustration, I went to my local bike shop who is also an authorized reseller of Selle Royal products. They contacted their disturber and immediately got a credit for me. Took less than two days (would have been faster if I had bought it locally.)So in conclusion, I love the seat, its comfy, and even though its falling apart after almost no use the manufacture easily

I am a cyclist who has ridden around the country several times with an approximate distance of 17,000 miles, all but 5,300 were on this saddle. It’s so comfortable that I recently purchased another for my other bike. Try it out. I’m sure you will be very happy with your purchase.
