Lightfast and permanent, Liquitex Professional Paint Markers offer the widest selection of brilliant colors with precision nibs for ultimate control. A proven ball and pump valve system to optimize paint mixing and flow is used in all Liquitex Professional Paint Markers. With a water-based acrylic formulation Liquitex Professional Paint Markers have been specifically developed for maximum compatibility with other Liquitex products. Versatile enough for use on almost any surface, use together with Liquitex Heavy Body, Soft Body or Spray Paint and finish with a Liquitex varnish for a bleed-proof finish which is both permanent and durable. This set includes six Paint Markers that each have a 15mm wide nib that provides the flexibility to achieve multiple line thicknesses. Once applied, all the water in the paint evaporates quickly in the atmosphere to leave a flexible acrylic film of color behind. OpacitySheer or solid color, or something in between? Each pigment has its own unique character and this dictates its opacity. Our professional acrylic paint is formulated to let the pigment express itself fully, so you have a choice of opaque, semi-opaque and transparent colors to help you achieve a range of effects. Archival qualityOn a client’s wall. In a gallery. Your work needs to stay as you intended. The pigments in Acrylic Markers are lightfast. This means your work will have the greatest archival permanence possible – at least 50 years+ in gallery conditions – with no color shifting or fading, to stay vibrant and true. |
A ball and pump valve system inside the marker keeps the paint flowing and the pigment and binder evenly mixed. Give it a good shake before use for best results. If too much paint comes out, it’s usually because you’re pushing down too hard (or often) on the nib. It’s easily fixed – wipe away excess paint, don’t pump the nib, and your marker should be good to go again.
Do you work your tools hard?
Dirty nibs can be quickly sorted. If you’ve got other Liquitex colors or paints on your nib, and they’re still wet, take it out and rinse it. If it’s dried on or it’s simply looking a little old and worn out, go for a replacement nib. They’re easy to fit and return your markers to full precision. Remember to always store markers horizontally and to keep lids on when not in use, to stop the paint drying out.

I am a beekeeper, and use these paint pens to mark my queen bees. This set contains all colors to represent the International Queen Marking Colors. If you are careful, the paint doesn’t blob out as much as other markers, (those sold by the bee catalogs can blob out and kill the queen), and the nurse bees don’t seem to peel the paint off like the bee catalog version of marking pen. Best solution for marking queen bees thus far.

Tested these for lightfastness, as sometimes bright vivid colors don’t do well, and was pleasantly surprised that they did not fade in the sun with over a month of window exposure. Great for use in fine art you plan to sell.

Great in conjunction with any acrylics that I use on canvas; leaves a beautiful semi-transparent coat and you know if you use acrylics regularly you have to build up the paint in layers to achieve deeper shades. Nice nibs (I bought the fine tips) and good lines. A life saver for straight line work.

Have used Liquitex products in the past with no issues. However, these are not Iridescent at all, this set was basically a Gold, Silver and Brown paint marker set. Not what I was looking for. I tried the markers on white paper, black paper and glass with no luck in getting the effect I thought I had purchased.

A great set of markers. The biggest downside is the LACK OF INK/PAINT within the pens! Holy crow, does Liquitex see you coming. These pens are so lightly filled it makes little to no sense to even bother with them as you will be seeking out the 8oz soft acrylics to use as refills, costing about $9 a pop. What a complete let down as I thought I could power my way through a relatively low use of these pens for a project and then some. I was wrong.Consider buying a Molotow empty pen and their refill ink bottles. While initially costly, they offer superior coverage for multiple uses.

Incredible pigment quality and quantity, vastly leaves even the best rival paint markers in the dust with the incredible quality and performance of these Liquitex paint markers, and believe me I’ve tried almost every paint marker out there

I expected a lot more from Liquitex. These markers are half full/half empty to start with. Wish I had noticed earlier. Also the paint is very thin and runny. This may be due to the requirements for the makers. Molotow and Montana are not as thin and runny. They give good coverage and vibrant color. COME ON LIQUITEX–THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I’ve been using Liquitex products for years without feeling like I’m being short changed. They can do better

These are great markers. I bought some on amazon and some at the art store. They were purchased by color. I loved how easily the were to use. Some of the colors are more sheer than others. I was very happy with the Liquitex paints. In fact use all their products in my art work. They are consistently the best ( as far as I am concerned) . Even the student grade products have as much pigment than many other brands artist grade .However, the box of markers… the markers are a great product, but buying the box was not economical. The yellow for instance, is not a vibrant yellow in my book. A weird color I don’t think I would buy. Not seeing the colors in personally, I felt there are colors in the box I will never use. They also come in a wider marker which is really great too. Bottom line, love the product but make sure you see each color before buying.

First off they were not fine, they had one tip that was like the fat side of a marker AND after just one use the tip was so flayed out that is what impossible to get anything defined at all. It was like that with all 3 and I am not sure if it’s supposed to be that way, but I can’t imagine that it is?? I may buy some new tips for it. The paint itself seemed fine.
